Hi! This is stunning!

I also want to say thank you for all the tips you share on your website: I've seen all the tutorial's index! I found particularly useful the actionto emulate the filter effect with different shots. I will try it very soon! Only one thing I didn't understand: should I expose all the pics for the same time (ie 10 shots @12secs or I should change it? is ok for the day, but isn't a problem at sunrise or sunset?

I also want to ask you an opinion about a particular filter: while on the web, I red about some guys that used a soldering glass as a Big Stopper (that's about 15 stops!!). So I bought it and used, but I got some problems that I have (partially) solved: first a big green dominant, then the loss of sharpness. this last is the real problem.

I just want to share with you this info, so maybe you can make a tutorial on how to use it properly!

Thank you again for your work!!

Gabriel

Thanks Gabriel.

If your camera can meter then leave it to it. It can then meter each frame and expose as it sees fit.

If you are shooting individual frames longer than the camera can meter for then yes you'll have to compensate manually.

The trick is to find the correct exposure then dial that in for your IA sequence. You're right that the light might change over the course of your IA but unless your shooting many many many minutes then it's not going to be that much of a change.

I've not tried the filter you're talking about, to be honest it sounds a bit useless. Any softness is a problem as there's no real way to recover that in post
