I've been trying to get this shot time and time again, revisiting in the hope of getting the water level right. I wanted the water just over the concrete path that leads to the bridge.

Finally I got it right. As it turns out, around 5.4m is perfect.

A rare venture into monochrome for this. Shot at the Black Rock on the east end of Gullane Beach in East Lothian.

Early morning rise to get down to Coldingham (near Eyemouth) in time for sunrise.

It was a very cold morning - as you can see! My GPS told me to turn left off the A1 and head down the A1107. Me being the contrary chap I am told it to shut up and I continued down the A1. On my return I drove back up the A1107. Given it was dark on the way down I'm sooooo glad I ignored the GPS. The road was like an ice-rink in places with drifts all over.
